[Though his expression doesn't change, internally Riku stops short, Terra's words striking home.

There's an answering surge of warmth in his heart, a feeling so strong that it feels like his heart is actually expanding in response to Terra's words. Brothers.

He'd be okay with having an older brother like Terra.]

[A smile pulls at the corner of his lips.]

I guess so. But it'll turn out all right. You'll see.

[Truthfully he didn't realize the slip until he takes notice of the way Riku stops, and for a moment he waits for rejection. He spent ten years somewhere, leaving Riku to Xehanort, surely there'd be some kind of rejection of sorts.

But there's not, and he lets his own smile curve. Having another little brother isn't such a bad thing.]

Maybe.

[He's expecting this battle to be worse than what he's heard the one the month before their arrival was like. Things are heating up in any case, which reminds him that he should tell Riku.]

Hey...I'll be in Leathann for the first part of the next month. [He purses his lips together.] The Void's getting closer, and I promised I'd help out when the time came.

Leathann?

[He knows that the Void's been encroaching... but what can they do against it? It isn't like fighting the darkness, where there's something tangible for them to fight against. Nor are they really supposed to be fighting against it, if they're working toward the Seelie goals.

It's still the source of a lot of conflict in Riku's heart, that's for sure.]

"When the time came?" Terra, what do you...?

[What are they planning?]

[He places a finger to his lips, indicating it shouldn't be discussed over the network, but he's willing to tell Riku if the younger boy decides to meet him before he leaves. He doesn't fully know the extent of Gilgamesh's plans, but he doesn't want to preemptively destroy those plans if Solais is watching.]

I said I'd help evacuate. [Not entirely a lie, but something to tell him there's more to it, and his lips purse together.] I don't want to see anyone else orphaned.

[A nod. The lockets are watched, he knows.]

That's a good idea. Too many people have already been hurt by all this.

Can we meet in person sometime before you leave? I've got something for you.

[If he couldn't back the Seelie ideals, he could make it so that people were safe. He didn't like either court's methods of embracing the world's end, but it was something he could do to help.]

I'm sorry I didn't get to speak to you after what happened in Leathann, but for the time being, I've returned to Caer Glaem.

I don't know what your plans are now, but I just wanted to let you know I probably won't be going back to the island.

It's okay. I wasn't in the best mood either. Not after what happened.

I'll be traveling for the rest of the month. I don't know if I'll ever return to Caer Glaem, let alone Leathann. I have kids to take care of, and they don't need to be caught up in all this. One of them isn't allowed to step inside Caer Glaem's grounds.

I'll be stopping by Kirei's orphanage a bit later, though, if you want to meet up there.

I might have been in a better mood if it didn't involve that kind of sacrifice at all. Worlds can be saved without sacrificing something in their place, it should be the same.

[Pause, then realises what he just said.]

Uh, they're not my actual kids. They're keyblade wielders who are younger than me, so I need to look out for them.

I don't believe in destroying more of the world than we're actually saving. I don't know if the Seelie credo is true or not, but I'm going to look into it.

I'm actually going to ask Kirei - I've seen him a few times in Leathann, and I know he preaches about the Void. I'll see what he has to say.

[ Zack feels exactly the same way, really. He was wary of Gilgamesh from the start, but the man wooed him with gentle words and noble intentions. He was stupid enough to fall for it, and now, he can't help but feel used, guilty by association. ]

Yes! A few months ago, I think - she was delivering letters in Leathann, and I noticed she had a keyblade.

She seemed really nice.

He's good for information, and quite knowledgeable about gods, which some people treat the Void as. I think he'd be willing to tell you what he knows.

[Terra wanted to believe he wasn't being led astray again, wanted to believe it so badly, and he was just as stupid to fall for it.]
